Why no red dye

Feeder care
A few small habits keep hummingbirds healthy.
Replace every 2–3 days in hot weather
Nectar spoils faster in the heat. If it looks cloudy, refresh it — clean nectar keeps birds coming back.
Clean the feeder each refill
Rinse with hot water and a brush. Skip soap unless you can rinse thoroughly.
Hang in partial shade
Shade slows spoilage and keeps the nectar cool for your visitors.
